Ever wondered what magic actually makes a desktop computer hum? Head down to the Main Street Library basement program room for a hands-on tech teardown. Presented in partnership with Free Geek Toronto—a stellar local non-profit dedicated to diverting electronic waste and refurbishing tech for community use—this workshop invites teens aged 13 to 19 to safely strip down decommissioned desktop towers.

Participants will learn the basics of hardware anatomy, proper tool handling, and essential safety guidelines when working with circuit boards, hard drives, and power supplies. It's an awesome, tactile way for young tech enthusiasts in the East End to demystify electronics and learn about sustainable tech practices.
