Culture Days 2026: A Walk through Toronto's Old Town

Step away from the glass towers of the modern financial core and look back at the muddy, bustling roots of early Upper Canada with this special Culture Days walking tour.

Discover Old Town Imagine a 19th-century Toronto where the lake touched Front Street, the tallest buildings stood just three stories high, and the air carried the scent of woodsmoke and frontier trade. Led by passionate local historians, this tour winds through the surviving built environment of the town's original 10 blocks. The journey begins on the historic stone steps of St. James Cathedral facing King Street East and wraps up at Toronto's First Post Office on Adelaide Street East.
