It’s time for some spring cleaning with a purpose. Join Councillor Myers and the City of Toronto for a Community Environment Day at Woodside Square in Scarborough on May 3, 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to clear out your home while contributing to the city's waste reduction goals.
What You Can Bring
This event is designed to help you dispose of items that don't belong in your regular curbside bins. You can drop off household items for donation, electronics for reuse or recycling, and household hazardous waste for proper disposal. It’s a safe and convenient way to get rid of old paint, batteries, and broken electronics that might otherwise end up in a landfill.
Extra Perks
In addition to the drop-off services, you can pick up free bagged compost while supplies last—a great treat for your garden as the spring season kicks into high gear. The city will also have kitchen catchers for organics available for purchase ($7 each, cash only).
Location
The event takes place at Woodside Square, located at 1571 Sandhurst Circle in Scarborough. It’s a great way to engage with your local community and take a small but meaningful step toward a greener Toronto. Whether you have a garage full of old electronics or just need some compost for your backyard, this is a must-attend event for environmentally conscious residents.
