Getting Started with Python

Python powers everything from web applications and data analysis to system scripting. This beginner-focused workshop requires zero prior coding experience—if you know your way around a basic word processor or web browser, you are ready to learn. Participants will be introduced to foundational concepts including variables, loops, and conditional arguments, with plenty of guided practice time built in.

Computers are provided on-site, making it easy to drop in and code without needing to haul your own gear. Located at 118 Jones Avenue, the Jones Library is easily accessible via the Gerrard streetcar or a short walk from Queen East.
