Celestia at St. James Cathedral

Friday, November 6, 2026 – Sunday, January 31, 2027
Showtimes vary by date. See the ticket site for the current schedule.
The Cathedral Church of St. James
Celestia is a seated, multisensory arts experience that uses 360° projection mapping and an original orchestral score to turn historic architecture into the stage. After a Denver cathedral run, it opens in Canada for the first time at Toronto’s Cathedral Church of St. James (106 King St E) on November 6, 2026, with performances continuing through January 31, 2027.
Ten immersive scenes across five acts—Awakening, Becoming, Transformation, Belonging, and Radiance—play across arches, stone, and stained glass rather than a blank screen. Think concert seating plus light installation: phones down, coats off, eyes up. Tickets are listed around $24 via the Celestia Toronto site.
St. James sits at King and Church—easy from King streetcar or Union Station. Arrive a little early for ushers and coat check on cold nights, and book ahead for December weekends when tourist and holiday crowds stack. Accessible seating details are on the ticket site; this is a seated show, not a walk-through.
