The Sunface Collective, supported by EJ3Arts, presents a bold new production of Suzan-Lori Parks’ '365 Days/365 Plays' as the University of Toronto’s Center for Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies (CDTPS) 2026 Alumni Show. Originally written as one play a day beginning in November 2002, Parks’ work is a profound response to the political and social realities of its time—from war to systemic racism—many of which continue to resonate deeply today.
The Production
Rather than staging the entire 365-play cycle, the creative team has curated 30 plays, including Parks’ three 'Constants.' The result is a non-linear, maximalist performance that experiments with movement and sound to explore themes of collective grief, absurdity, anxiety, and hope. Directed by Teodora Djuric with dramaturgy by Aria Sharma, this production is part of the CDTPS Alumni Performance Project, an initiative designed to support recent graduates in developing and presenting new, experimental work.
