As part of the highly anticipated Queer Pride 2026 programming at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Cain Culto is set to deliver a headlining concert that promises to be as provocative as it is personal. A former worship pastor who has fully embraced his identity as a queer renegade, Culto’s journey from the evangelical circuit to the vanguard of left-field pop is a story of reclamation.

The Sound Cain Culto’s music is a fascinating tapestry of his upbringing. Raised in a Colombian-Nicaraguan household and moving between Florida and Kentucky, his sound blends salsa, bluegrass, and hip-hop into something entirely his own. Since leaving his acclaimed Christian band, Ecclesia, in 2021, he has emerged as a fearless DIY auteur, crafting music that interrogates spirituality, sexuality, and cultural roots with unflinching honesty.

The Venue Buddies in Bad Times Theatre is the spiritual home of queer performance in Toronto, located right in the heart of the Church-Wellesley Village. There is no better place to experience an artist who is actively dismantling the boundaries between his past and his present.

Whether you are a long-time fan of his genre-defying pop or simply looking for a powerful, authentic voice to celebrate Pride with, this show is a highlight of the festival calendar. Expect an intimate, high-energy performance in the theatre’s Chamber space. Given the venue's history and the artist's unique trajectory, this is one of the most compelling bookings of the season.
