The By the Lake Book Club returns to Etobicoke's scenic Assembly Hall for an engaging evening featuring Emma Knight, whose acclaimed debut novel *The Life Cycle of the Common Octopus* was shortlisted for the 2025 Scotiabank Giller Prize.

What to Expect
Presented in partnership by the City of Toronto and Humber Polytechnic, this series brings top-tier Canadian literary talent straight to the west end. Each in-person evening features live author readings, an intimate moderated discussion, an audience Q&A, and a book signing. ASL interpretation is provided for all in-person attendees.
