Presented in partnership with the City of Toronto and Humber Polytechnic, this ongoing series brings some of Canada’s best literary voices to the lake shore.
About the Book Cameron’s book investigates a rare bear attack in Algonquin Park while weaving in her own deeply personal battle with genetic cancer. Blending nature writing, memoir, and true crime, it’s an unflinching exploration of fear, resilience, and what it takes to endure when the unimaginable happens.
The Experience Hosted in the historic Assembly Hall near Colonel Samuel Smith Park, each evening features live readings, an in-depth conversation, a dedicated Q&A, and book signings. For accessibility, the event includes full ASL interpretation.
Make time for a pre-show stroll along the waterfront trails of Samuel Smith Park before heading inside for an inspiring evening of Canadian storytelling.
