Running throughout the month of May as part of the 2026 CONTACT Photography Festival, *Breaking Sound* is an intriguing new exhibition by Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist Rhandy Adolphe (SAMBAranthony). Hosted at the cozy High Notes Coffee + Vinyl in the Junction, the installation explores the concept of vibration as a shared language that connects sound and sight.

What to Expect Adolphe translates photography into visual sound waves, capturing the essence of dance and DJing through a lens. The work challenges visitors to rethink the boundaries between what we hear and what we see, suggesting that all sensation originates from the same material force: vibration. Whether you are a fan of contemporary photography or just looking for a unique cultural experience in the neighbourhood, this exhibition offers a thoughtful, immersive space to explore.

Visit the Junction High Notes Coffee + Vinyl is a perfect venue for this kind of intimate, community-focused art show.
