Ever wondered what really goes into your pint? Join certified zythologist (beer sommelier) Joke Van Loon for an interactive masterclass that takes you on a journey from grain to glass. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned beer lover, this session is designed to deepen your appreciation for the craft.
What You'll Learn
Joke will guide you through the history of brewing and the fundamentals of how beer is made. You'll learn how malt affects colour and body, how hops contribute bitterness and aroma, and how yeast creates a vast range of flavours. It’s a step-by-step look at the brewing process, using a curated tasting flight to illustrate each point.
The Tasting
You’ll get to sample a range of styles—from Vienna Lager and Stout to IPA, Tripel, and Sour—paired with simple food to show how flavours interact. It’s a fun, approachable, and engaging way to explore outside your usual comfort zone.
About the Expert
