R.V. Burgess Park is set to become a vibrant gathering place this summer for families, youth, and elders alike. 'The Spiral of Our Relations' invites the community to participate in a series of nature walks, storytelling, and hands-on art activities that celebrate the beauty of Creation.
What to Expect These gatherings are more than just time spent in nature; they are an opportunity to expand your awareness and connect with the land. Natural Knowledge Keeper Alan Colley will share teachings and stories about the park, followed by a clay sculpting activity with land-based artist Alex Iorgu. These sessions will culminate in the creation of a collective low-relief sculpture, 'The Spiral of Our Relations,' which weaves together elements of the Mineral, Plant, and Animal worlds.
