Get moving outdoors and soak up the summer weather with Arts in the Parks: The Power of Movement. Taking over Bell Manor Park on Saturday, August 22, 2026, this free cultural dance series is crafted to elevate mental health, release tension, and build community through dynamic African and Caribbean dance styles.

The afternoon format is designed to be completely accessible, regardless of your dance background. Things kick off with a high-energy 45-minute DJ set curated by the ICONS group, setting an inviting, block-party vibe while guiding participants through light interactive movement. That’s followed by a dedicated 45-minute workshop led by a featured resident artist who will break down foundational steps in a supportive environment.

Why You Should Go Part of the broader Arts in the Parks initiative, this series is entirely free, family-friendly, and open to all ages. It’s an ideal way to spend a Saturday afternoon connecting with neighbours and getting active in one of Etobicoke’s lovely green spaces.

Getting There Bell Manor Park is nestled in the Sunnylea neighbourhood near the Humber River, easily reachable by local transit or a short drive. Pack a water bottle, wear comfortable clothes you can easily stretch and sweat in, and get ready to dance in the grass. (Note: if Mother Nature acts up, keep an eye out for Sunday rain dates).
