Sound systems and coastal stories meet in the Annex this week for *A Convergence of Coasts in Tkaronto; Where The Trees Meet*, an experimental jazz and electronic showcase hosted at the historic Tranzac Club.
The Lineup
Bringing together artists from three distinct Canadian territories, the bill features Vancouver duo Skyla J & Oz fusing trip-hop and jazz-infused dub following a decade-long hiatus, alongside legendary Toronto mainstays LAL (Rosina Kazi and Nicholas “Murr” Murray), known for their silvery, resistance-rooted electronica. Rounding out the night is Halifax-born scholar and artist Dilshan, blending neo-soul, indie R&B, and afro-surrealist free improvisation.
What to Expect
Running in the heart of Brunswick Ave's favourite cultural hub, this intimate showcase leans deep into boundary-pushing audio exploration. Grab a pint in the Tranzac's back room and catch some of the most forward-thinking independent creators currently operating across Canadian underground circuits.
