Ever wanted to try your hand at 3D modeling but didn't know where to start? Head over to the Elmbrook Park library branch for a hands-on introduction to 3D design using Onshape, a powerful cloud-based CAD software.
What You Will Learn
Whether you are an aspiring engineer, a digital artist, or simply a curious hobbyist, this workshop breaks down the basics. Participants will get an overview of Onshape's interface, master core design principles like sketches, extrusions, and revolutions, and try their hand at creating simple 3D parts and assembly components. You will also learn best practices for efficient modeling and how to export your creations for 3D printing.
Practical Information
Computers are provided on-site, and the session is entirely free. Located at 2 Elmbrook Crescent in Etobicoke, registration opens two weeks prior to the event, so be sure to secure your spot early if you want to dive into the world of digital fabrication.
