Experience the hauntingly beautiful sounds of the Pipa, an ancient Chinese instrument with over 2,000 years of history. Toronto-based artist Wen Zhao brings her mastery of this plucked instrument to the Richview Branch of the Toronto Public Library for a special solo concert, 'Painting the Seasons.'

About the Performance Wen Zhao will guide the audience through a repertoire that spans dynasties, using the Pipa to paint vivid musical landscapes of the natural world across the four seasons. Beyond the music, Wen will share insights into traditional Chinese festivals, including the Lunar New Year and the Dragon Boat Festival, connecting the music to the cultural traditions that inspired it.
